More Christmas

We got  to have a Christmas Party and watch Christmas movies this week! (And of course review and study hard!!) We had such a great week! Now to enjoy TWO whole weeks at home celebrating with our families! Merry Christmas everyone!!! Remember the reason for the season!

Christmas Around the World

The past two weeks we have been busy traveling all over the world learning about Christmas traditions.  We started in the United States and talked about all the things we do with our families then we traveled to Mexico where we made poinsettias
Next we stopped in Brazil where we learned that they shoot fireworks at Christmas and we made these bird ornaments to go on our tee
Then it was off to South Africa where they make Christmas Crackers every year so of course we did too!

Next, was Germany they decorate Christmas trees just like we do in America so we made a Christmas tree craft.
We went to China, where we made paper lanterns just like they do
Our next stop was Australia where we learned they have Christmas during the SUMMER!! How great! We made a kangaroo craft (which I forgot to take a picture of!) because they think kangaroos pull santa's sleigh!!
Our last stop was the North Pole and there we got to watch the Polar Express and enjoy hot chocolate and candy and of course we got our very own Christmas bells!!

Our Last Week With Wrinkles

Our silly elf and some of our journals. Everyday we wrote about what he did! It is so fun to read what they kids wrote each day!

Our first week with Wrinkles!

We had a Special visitor fly in this week! Wrinkles, the elf, is here from The North Pole to watch us and report back to Santa!! It has been so exciting to see what he will do each day!
He brought us brand new crayons!! Which we needed!!

Wrinkles tried to teach a calendar lesson but he made a mess!

He must have gotten hungry on his trip here!

He decided to be our flag holder today!

Thankful Turkeys

We have a lot to be thankful for!! We made turkeys this week to show what we are thankful for!

Spelling with shaving cream!!

I can't think of anything better than learning while getting messy!! We used shaving cream to study our spelling words and the kids LOVED it! (Just like I did in school) It was so much fun and left our desk clean and smelling good!
