Clouds

Today started our weather unit. We started out by reading a little about how clouds are formed and the types of clouds. Then we made a cloud a jar.

It was such a neat activity. The pictures of it do not do it justice!

Then we made this craft showing the types of clouds we learned about today.

Finally, we went outside and looked in the sky to determine what kind of clouds we could see. The weather was too perfect to stay inside so it was a great excuse to get some fresh air! :)

Spring Fun

We got in the Spring spirit and made cute flower art with forks!

Then we got an egg and tried to guess what was inside.

Here are some of our guesses. It was a PEEP!

Then we named our peep, came up with a problem he may face, how he would sove that problem, and a setting for our story. Then of course we wrote the story and shared it with the class! I have a class full of authors.

Easter fun!

Well we had an Easter egg hunt scheduled for today audit rained! :( but wedding let that stop our fun!

The kids went in the closet while we hid eggs! They thought that was so funny!

Luckily I had parents to help hide the eggs because we had sooo many! But we are egg hunting experts they found them all in no time. At least we hope we found them all.

We loved our Easter snack and of course a few pieces of candy!

We had a great day full of fun! Lots of candy and sugar but they have been so good all year they deserved a break! I hope everyone has a very Happy Easter!

Nature Walk

A few weeks ago we got caterpillars and over the past weeks we have watched them grow and change into beautiful butterflies! Today we went on a nature walk to see all that spring has to offer here at our school and release our butterflies. Then of course we came back and wrote about our adventure! What a fun day!

Guest Reader!

Alyssa, a second grader at our school, earned enough points to read to another class and she chose to read to us today! It was such a fun treat for us! She did a GREAT job!!

                                      

Graphs Galore!

                 

       

We are learning all about graphs this week and next! We have learned how to make picture and bar graphs and how to read them! We even got in the Easter spirit and made a graph with jelly beans. YUM! It is so much fun to learn!!

Peter's Chair

We made this cute retelling craft for Peter's Chair. We had a lot of fun making them and then retelling the story to the class.
